The Forestry Judging team placed 7th in the state contest. Team members were Roger Clark, Rachel McAuley and Kendall Tom. This team was coached by Bill Meredith with assistance from Keith Hart. The 4-H Forestry Judging team members learn to identify various Tennessee trees, identify forest insects and diseases and wood samples. They also learn to measure standing timber to determine the board feet of lumber. In addition, they develop teamwork skills by working as a team to do a site evaluation using a scenario to determine the best use of forest resources.
