Wallace and Geneva Timbs celebrate 65th anniversary

Wallace and Geneva Timbs of Elizabethton celebrated their 65th anniversary on December 30, 2011.

The couple were married on December 30, 1946, in Butler, by Rev. J.J. Richardson.

Mr. Timbs served in the U.S. Army during World War II and is a retired electrician.

Mrs. Timbs is the former Geneva Phillips and a homemaker.

The couple are the parents of three children: a son, Jeff Timbs, of Austin, Texas, and two daughters, Jo Ann Rogers, Johnson City, and Marcelene Timbs of Elizabethton.

They have three grandchildren, Christopher Peters and Taylor and Courtney Timbs.
