Carlee Sullins wins September essay contest

Carlee Sullins, a fifth-grade student at Harold McCormick Elementary School, was the winner of the September Newspapers in Education Essay Contest. Her essay is printed in its entirety.

An Important Person  in My Life 

My name is Carlee Sullins and an important person in my life is my kidney doctor. His name is Dr. Ahmad Wattad. He has only been in my life since June of this year, but he has become so important to me and my family.
