Investigator Todd Hamm works a variety of cases at the Elizabethton Police Department.

Before working at the sheriff’s department, Todd Hamm, a Stoney Creek native, went to school at East Tennessee State University, where a class helped set him on the path to a law enforcement career.

“I was actually going to ETSU and had an introduction to a criminal justice class that I really enjoyed,” he said. “I decided to make that my major. I applied at the Elizabethton Police Department and the sheriff’s department in ‘95. I got hired at the sheriff’s department.”
