Fall and winter provide some of the best times to stay inside and curl up with a good book, which is one of the best reasons to stock up on reading material at an upcoming benefit book sale.

for the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library’s Used Book Sale, which will be held this weekend at the American Legion Building.

Anyone looking for a new book to read should visit the Friends of the Library fall book sale this weekend in the American Legion building.

These bi-annual sales, held in the spring and fall, have been held for more than 10 years and help to fund extra costs that are not covered in the budget for the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library. The book sales are the only fundraiser the Friends of the Library holds to help raise money for the library.
