MILLIGAN COLLEGE — Milligan College will present Agatha Christie’s murder mystery, “And Then There Were None,” Oct. 25-28 in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre in Milligan’s Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts.

Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 25-27. A matinee performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 28. All seats are $5. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 12, in the Milligan Bookstore.

The production is one of several special events to be held on campus during Milligan’s annual Homecoming festivities.

Based on a novel by Christie, “And Then There Were None” transports audiences to an island off the coast of Devon, England, where 10 strangers are summoned together. The only commonality among the strangers is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal. After a mysterious voice accuses each person of getting away with murder, each individual in the group is murdered one by one.

“The excitement never lets up, and audience members will be trying to figure out who the murderer is right up to the end of the play,” said Richard Major, professor of theater at Milligan.

The play is directed by Major, with scenic and lighting design by Pamela Adolphi.

The cast features Colin Blowers, a senior from Elizabethton. Other cast members include Danielle Moore and Tyler Brackins of Unicoi.

“Once again we have assembled a stellar cast of young actors who do a superb job of making this classic mystery come to life,” Major said. “As rehearsals have progressed, I’ve been delighted with how the actors have made this story their own and have invested themselves 100 percent into the development of their characters. I’m confident this is going to be a bona fide hit with our audiences.”

To buy tickets, visit the Milligan College Bookstore, open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or call 423.461.8733.

After the Oct. 26 and 27 performances, the Associated Ladies for Milligan (ALM) will host a cake and coffee reception in Milligan’s Taylor/Phillips House. The reception begins at 9 p.m. Tickets for this event are $15, and advanced reservations are required by calling 461-8710. Proceeds from the reception will benefit the ALM Endowment, which permanently provides student scholarships at Milligan.
