A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Vernie Grindstaff Richardson.
Mrs. Crow was an accomplished seamstress and owned and operated The Alteration Shop for a number of years. She was the oldest active member of Moores Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene T. Crow; a son, Bill Crow; a daughter, Patricia Wade; two brothers, Franklin D. and Earl E. Richardson; and a sister, Ruby Richardson.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kathleen Crow of South Riding, Va.; five grandchildren, Lucy of Elizabethton, Nathan of Colorado Springs, Colo., Ryan of South Riding, Va., and Angie and Allie, both of Montgomery, N.Y.; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Wayne Pierce, Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Sandra Richardson, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Anna Mae Campbell and Charlotte Blevins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crow will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, October 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Greg Largent officiating. Music will be provided by the Moores Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Choir. Graveside services and interment will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 27, in the VanHuss Cemetery (Siam Community). Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at noon Saturday, will be Ryan Crow, Chuck Pierce, Richard Pierce, Frankie Birchfield, Bill Richardson and Phillip Nave. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Carrier and members of the Moores Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center and Dr. Vivian Clark. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 26, at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Wayne Pierce, 123 Low Gap Road, Elizabethton.
