A homeless man accused of starting a small fire in a former Elizabethton factory has been charged with criminal trespassing.

The Elizabethton Fire Department and Elizabethton Police Department responded to the old Bemberg plant Tuesday evening to investigate smoke coming from the building.

Sgt. Shane Darling said they discovered the smoke was coming from a small campfire. They also located a man on the second floor, hiding under a desk, Darling said.
