Polling places report steady turnout

Administrator of Elections Tracy Harris reported all Carter County precincts are operating smoothly as residents cast their votes in the presidential election, as well as state and local races.
Harris reported a steady flow of voters and that no issues have been reported from any of the precincts so far.
More remote precincts, such as Tiger Valley, are also reporting steady voter traffic. As of 2:30 p.m., 316 people had voted in Tiger Valley.
