Announcement is made of the engagement and forthcoming marriage of Jenny Luann Taylor and Christopher Scott Drinnon.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Carl and Darlene Taylor, 215 Greenlee Road, Johnson City. She is the granddaughter of the late Fred and Dora Blackburn, the late Jack and Arabelle Taylor, and Lawrence and Margie Range, Elizabethton.

Jenny is a 2007 graduate of Happy Valley High School. She is a graduate of Walters State Community College where she received an associate’s degree in animal science. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and is currently enrolled in the University of Tennessee at Knoxville’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She will graduate in 2016 as a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Her fiancé is the son of Benny and Suzanne Drinnon, 311 Ridgehaven Road, Surgoinsville. He is the grandson of Geraldine Drinnon, Surgoinsville, and the late Guy Drinnon, and Frances Rutherford, Blountville, and the late Eugene Rutherford.

Chris is a 2006 graduate of Volunteer High School. He graduated in 2008 from Walters State Community College with an associate’s degree in agriculture. He is a 2012 University of Tennessee at Knoxville graduate, receiving a bachelor’s degree in biosystems engineering. He is employed by JTEKT Automotive in Morristown, as a die cast engineer.

The couple will be married in a private ceremony Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at The Barn at Boone Falls, Boones Creek.
